Sales School & 16th Annual Logistics Achiever Awards 2004
The
bi-annual DDL Sales School was held at DDL’s new Head Office in Bramley
View, Johannesburg from Oct 14 -16th,
2004. Attendees were
all DDL sales, marketing and distribution staff from around
Southern Africa.
The
event was prefaced with a presentation of the profile of DDL in
the market place. This was followed by an analysis of the past 5
years performance together with a discussion of the next five year
plan.
There
was an overview and discussion of the Materials Handling
environment in South Africa and the role that DDL plays. In
particular, the added value of the DDL Product Line was
highlighted.

On
the evening of October 14th the delegates were invited to attend
the 16th Annual Logistics Achiever Awards Gala Dinner held at the
Sandton Convention Centre. DDL hosted a table at this prestigious
event which is designed to promote
excellence in the broad field of
logistics and supply chain management. (more information

Annual Logistics Achiever Awards Gala Dinner
The
bulk of the Sales School agenda was taken up by in-depth coverage
of each of the DDL Products. This included technical details,
sales, installation and support information together with an
overview of the DDL administrative functions.
A
highlight of the Sales School was the talk given by Rod Kruger
after the Press Luncheon to launch the new
showroom facility at the new DDL premises in Johannesburg. Rod
gave an incisive and entertaining motivational speech related to
the events leading up to his success at the International
ToastMasters' World Championship of Public
Speaking held in Reno, Nevada this year.
Finally,
the event was an opportunity for the participants to exchange
ideas and suggestions to strengthen and improve the products,
service and expertise provided by DDL to it's clients.
