MATERIAL HANDLING DOCKING SOLUTIONS

The "Bottle Neck" in any industrial factory, warehouse and storage place, is undoubtedly the receiving and despatch loading bays and / or the loading and unloading of distribution trucks.

These "Bottle Necks" are expensive in terms of time delays, double handling, damages, injuries, temperature and pilferage etc., hence more and more companies are looking at "uncorking" these "Bottle Neck" areas by means of streamlining the flow of material handling.

In Southern Africa, the sad facts are that only 50% of established industrial premises including warehouses, factories, distribution and shopping centres, and only 30% of those under construction, are geared to modem handling methods.

The 3rd phase of material handling is now entering Southern Africa's distribution field i.e. dedicated and centralised warehousing, dedicated transport, roll-tainer / cages, pallets etc.

Take advantage of the Dock Equipment offered by DDL, the specialist in Loading Bay Technology, to increase productivity and turn around time in your loading operation.

The MARK II DOCK LEVELLER

In 1998 our Company launched its Mark 11 Dock Leveller - operated by Two Hydraulic Cylinders, either by electric or hand pump. The Mark 11 supercedes our One Cylinder Mark I Model.

Mark II Dock Leveller

The advantage of this new Model - No moving parts, except for the cylinders

In overseas countries, Fully Automatic Electro Hydraulic operation is standard - the introduction of this new Model brings us in line with stringent European standards .

In addition, our highly trained personnel are fully equipped to undertake any repairs, or conversion from Mechanical to Hydraulic operation on any make or type of Dock Leveller.

D D L's Technical personnel have been involved with Docking Equipment in South Africa since 1974. The expertise of our Product Support and Service Managers provides our clients, Branches and Distributors throughout Southern Africa, with all the necessary back-up and advice.

Should you have the latest Merkels Builders Management Manual (QS), you will find our information and specifications under BILL NO, 31
